Yeah I know, the title doesn’t make sense (my 9 yo is convinced everyone is going to make fun of me). Black was on all the runways for Fall/Winter 2013. Joe Fresh took a chic look at Parisienne life with models wearing black or black and white. To be fair there was even some blue thrown in.
All black is my jam, growing up in the 90s it was the signature colour palette. I decided to wear all black to a Mulberry event I was attending. What most designers are doing with black now is adding texture for more visual interest, for example, the sleeves on this t-shirt are faux leather. I just dressed it up by adding my trusty necklaces (yes I know some of you are wondering if I own anything else).
T-shirt, Banana Republic. Pants, Banana Republic (here and here). Shoes, Jimmy Choo (here and here). Clutch, Danier (old). Necklaces, JCrew (here and here), Divana (similar here). Earrings, c/o Cocoa Jewelry (here).
On a totally separate note I’ve been getting lots of compliments on the new hair. I have finally learned how to use my flat iron (Hana brand) to create curls. I don’t know why it took me so long. If you follow me on Pinterest I added the video tutorial I used on my board “Hair”. If you don’t like this one just Google “curling hair with flat iron” and you can find a different video. I was able to go three days without having to wash or style my hair (I know this might sound gross but honestly you couldn’t tell, my husband would be the first one to point out to me if there was something wrong) by curling it with my Hana flat iron. I swear it looks even better the second day. The curls are looser and look more beachy.
