Do you love fresh baked cookies? Who doesn’t, right? Well my friend Maya who is an avid baker, thought of a way to easily store homemade cookie dough in the freezer so that you can always have fresh baked cookies on hand to share with family and friends (or just to keep for yourself when the munchies strike!).
Maya developed a product called The Smart Cookie™, a storage container that will shape, store and freeze your homemade cookie dough. Here I am testing it out with Oatmeal Chocolate Chunk Cookies. I gotta say, with four kids at home this product will come in handy.
I was pleasantly surprised at how easy it was to fill The Smart Cookie ™ with the cookie dough, and then to remove the frozen cookie pieces. Now I can get several fresh baked servings of cookies from just one preparation of cookie dough. Holiday baking just became much easier. Other important features of this product are that it is made in Canada, it is BPA free and dishwasher safe (this was a must for Maya, she hates doing dishes!)
The Smart Cookie™ is being sold at 11 stores across the GTA, on Amazon.ca and also at www.getsmartcookie.com. Maya will also be conducting product demos at Williams-Sonoma Bloor St on November 23rd, and at the Yorkdale Williams-Sonoma on November 30th, she will be handing out fresh baked cookies so make sure to stop by and visit if you are in the area. Maya is also planning to audition for the next season of Dragon’s Den, so make sure to tune in to season 2014 to see if she made it (oh, and keep your fingers crossed for her!)
