Today I’m reviewing and sharing a few of my favourite beauty items. Beauty Reviews time!

Essie Resort Fling Collection – This 4 pc full-size collection contains: Cocktails & Coconuts, Resort Fling, Under The Twighlight and Find Me An Oasis, Obsessed Look sent me Resort Fling and Under the Twilight. I was disappointed with the colour of Resort Fling, I thought it would be more vibrant. It is a pretty neutral peach colour. I am pretty fair (I have been called Mozzarella like) and it was too tonal for me. I am going to try it again once I have a bit of a tan to see if I like it more. I really LOVED Under the Twilight. It is a very dark purple like OPI Lincoln Park After Dark but not so black. If you follow me on Instagram you would have seen I recently used it for my manicure. It is also a great transitional nail polish and will be great for fall. essie nail polish Vichy Idealia BB Cream ($37) & Idealia Eyes ($39.50) – During the summer months I don’t want to wear a heavy foundation. I really love BB Creams (review here) and this Vichy one is very nice. Of all the BB Creams I have tried this one is very light and offers the least amount of coverage. If you are looking to cover any blemishes, age spots or sun spots this product is not for you. What it does do is give your skin luminosity and I see it every time I apply this product. It gives a dewey look and my skin looks brighter. If your skin is looking dull this BB Cream is for you. The Idealia Eyes does the same thing for the area around your eyes. These products will not be available till September and will be found at Shoppers Drug Mart.

Matrix Biolage Volume Bloom – I was given this shampoo by the Matrix team and unfortunately I couldn’t use it. See I have very thick hair that is also a bit coarse, my hair has a natural wave to it (When I was pregnant I did not lose any hair and it was amazing.) and this shampoo would leave my hair heavy and greasy. I gave it to a girlfriend who has very fine hair. She told me that when her hair was shoulder length the volume boost was minimal, however, when she cut her hair to about chin length she immediately saw a difference with her hair. It was much more voluminous and healthy. She says the product is perfect for her when her hair is shorter.

  1.

As well as the fab colours I love the names of the Essie polish – too cute! I’ve swapped my foundation and powders for BB and some days CC cream this summer – it makes such a difference. Have a lovely weekend x
