Two weeks ago I was invited to view the Spring 2015 collection for WHBM (White House Black Market) in New York City. The trip would be exactly 36 hours of style fun. Packing was going to be easy, I was sticking to white and black and I was determined to bring only a carry on and use my new Annabel Ingall Jojo Crossbody. The Iconic Shirt Collection from WHBM was the staple item that I built my Day One day and night outfits around. I travelled in the white tunic and paired it with these perfect leggings and long vest from Chico’s. For the evening preview I added my Pink Tartan culottes (I tucked the tunic into the pants) and WHBM high boots from last season. This year’s version had a nice gold detail on the heel and you can find it here.
This knit long vest from Chico’s is a perfect travel piece, adds some layering and allows you to be prepared for cooler weather especially when you’re in meeting rooms.
The big question for me during this trip was “Could I survive 36 hours of fashion and shopping with a small crossbody?” Surprisingly yes! I learned that I didn’t need to break my back with a large bag, everything I needed (phone, wallet, passport, tissues and lipstick) could fit neatly in my little handbag. I’ll be doing a stand alone post on the WHBM preview but wanted to share my travel outfit.
The weather is no longer a nice tame fall, now it’s a roaring and angry winter. Keep warm everyone. For the winter weather one could easily add boots and you could brave the cold.
