Viviscal is a hair nourishment system that’s primarily known to help with thinning hair. The website details Viviscal as:

“Everyday stress, hormonal changes, poor nutrition, age, menopause, post-pregnancy, heredity, medication and damage caused by the environment and over-styling can impact the health of your hair and lead to breakage and excess shedding. Therefore, it’s important to ensure that the hair and scalp are healthy, conditioned and nourished to maintain the ideal environment for healthy hair.

At Viviscal, we understand hair. The Viviscal Hair Nourishment System provides a variety of ways to nourish your hair from the inside out.

Viviscal Maximum Strength contains the exclusive AminoMar C™ Marine Complex, Silica, and Vitamin C designed to supply vital nutrients to nourish thinning hair and promote healthy hair from within. The efficacy and safety of the Viviscal formulation has been established in numerous scientific studies.”

When I was approached to be a Brand Ambassador for Viviscal I didn’t know how I could say yes – I don’t have thin hair. Never have. Not even when I was pregnant. Even after the babies my hair went back to it’s thick self. However, that’s not to say it’s all roses, I have noticed a change in my hair as I get closer to 40, it’s getting coarser and losing it’s softness. That’s a natural part of aging and something all of us will experience, doesn’t mean I like it. I started reading lots of Viviscal reviews and one thing I noticed was that women were saying their hair was softer and that’s when I decided to try it. Wouldn’t cost me anything and if it didn’t work I wouldn’t have to write anything and I’d be done. Well within the first month I noticed my hair was much softer.

I modelled for a segment on the Marilyn Denis show after I had been on Viviscal for a month and the hair stylist couldn’t stop running his hands through my hair, then he told a colleague that she had to touch my hair. I was blushing because he would not stop raving about it. I have appeared on the show on several occasions, he’s styled my hair on several occasions but he’s never commented on how soft it is. Thick? Sure, all the time. Soft? Never. I’m literally touching my hair now as I write this because it’s soft and I still can’t believe it worked.

I’ll be posting a few more times and updating you on my Viviscal journey. Smooth sailing and sunny weather has greeted me.

Just ordered my 3 month supply. Really hoping it works. …I not only have thinning hair but several bald spots. Got my confirmation email that it’s sent…..

      Hi Sylvia,
I hope it works for you. I’m having a really great experience and recommended it to a girlfriend with thinning hair. Keep me updated please!

Hi Sylvia, you wrote a post in January about starting your Viviscal course. Did it work for you? I just got a 3 month supply. Desperate as my hair is thinning… and quite depressing when trying to have a conversation and people start looking at my hairline instead of my eyes as I talk 🙁 Would be happy to hear if it worked for you. Thanks and best,

I’d like to try this. Gosh it pricey though! At 51 I definitely see changes in my hair. It’s gotten more coarse and I have to shampoo very gently or else my hands are covered in hair. I always have lots of little baby hairs/new growth.

I may have to try this. I was loosing chunks of hair over the summer due to stress and it never really grew back.I have to agree it is a bit pricey especially since you don’t know if it will work for your hair. Your hair looks great though.
