lighten up Sassoon Toronto

Spring is here, the sun is out (at the moment I am typing this) and my hair is lighter!

No, not dramatic blonde bombshell lighter. Some will even ask “It’s lighter?”. For proof click here.

I had all over caramel blonde highlights added and more layers but they were kept long. I want to ease into a blonde colour decision. This is a very soft colour and an easy to maintain cut. What I love about the colourists at Sassoon is they ask questions and listen. Kim (she did my colour) wanted to know if I wore my hair up, what other projects I was working on and what I wanted.

She suggested we could do half a head of highlights. This is a great way to save time and money at the salon – highlights are applied to the top half of your head. If you put your hair in a pony tail it can be obvious that you didn’t highlight the lower half of your hair. I wanted the whole head done. I just don’t know what project may pop up and I need to be ready.

Wesley (he cut my hair and is a Creative Director at Sassoon) cut off extra weight. He also taught me a new way to curl my hair and I haven’t been able to replicate it – not even close. I will have to pay closer attention next time.

I’m gong to link in Sassoon here again for anyone looking for a change and to check out their work follow them on Instagram here. I’m enjoying this hair journey I’m on.
