Drop it Like It's Hot

The weather has been AMAZING!! I’ve been wearing maxi dresses and skirts all week. This one from Target is really long and really comfortable, except the criss cross top won’t stay closed (RIP Chris Kelly). I had to pin it shut, but not before I flashed every person at the Ecco Fall Preview. Jacket, Gap. [Read more…]

Put it in Neutral

I find mixing neutrals as difficult as mixing colours. Finding the right shade of ivory or blush to pair with this skirt was a welcome challenge. The skirt has a great pocket detail and a wonderful, yet very slight, hi/low hemline. These details make the skirt that much more special. The skirt is made of [Read more…]

A Little Pink Dress - Big Changes

I’m always preaching about stepping out of your comfort zone and mixing colours and trying dresses and skirts and having fun and blah blah blah. I’m taking my own advice today. I ordered this dress online from Gap because it’s a very different silhouette then what I’m used to. I’m more of a structured dresser [Read more…]

Spring Transition and Purges

I honestly wasn’t sure I would be able to write about transitioning my winter to spring wardrobe because of the weather we’ve been having in southern Ontario. Just when I thought warmer weather was in the forecast we were hit with an ice storm. Any way, it seems like Mother Nature is finally in the [Read more…]

Easy Like Sunday Morning

I really enjoy looking at other blogs to see what other women are wearing. I love seeing the full skirts that are in, great ankle pants with kitten heels as well as all the dresses that spring has sprung. The thing is I can’t wear lots of these items for various reasons. For example, those [Read more…]

It's a Mom Day - Cardi & Denim

Style isn’t just about being able to co-ordinate patterns, colour and texture. I love to mix all these elements to express my own personality, however, I also live in a world where I’m picking up toys, folding laundry, cooking, cleaning, dealing with dirty diapers (can’t wait for that to end) and running around in cold [Read more…]

Investment pieces are different things to different people. I’m a stay at home mother and retired my power suit a long time ago. However, a great blazer will get me from day to night – I can wear this blazer while running errands and still wear it out in the evening for date night or [Read more…]

Feb 282013

We really need some – weather in Toronto has been erratic at best. So when I saw this beautiful yellow peplum sweater at Banana Republic I just couldn’t resist. It reminds me of spring and summer and I’m sure we could all use some sunshine on days like these. This is the last post featuring [Read more…]
